Our story

A practice built on the
belief that structure is design.

It started with a frustration. After years inside large firms — watching projects lose their soul somewhere between the first client meeting and the final blueprint — our founder Mario kept asking the same question: why does the person who has to live in this space end up with the least say in how it's built?

The answer was structure — in more ways than one. Big studios optimize for scale. Processes become more important than people. So Mario built something different: a practice that handles architectural design and residential framing under one roof, with over 20 years of hands-on structural experience behind every decision.

At mrzdesign, a home's beauty and its integrity are never treated as separate problems. The way a roof is framed, how loads travel through a wall, where a beam lands — these decisions shape everything above them. We design both the space you see and the structure that holds it up.
